πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³ 5 Restaurant-Worthy Pastas you can make at home

Hey there,

On restaurant menus, I almost always skip pasta dishes because pasta night at home is one of my favorite things. The ingredients are simple and economical, and it tastes every bit as good as what you'd order out.

These five are as good as any restaurant's, and you can make every one of them.

Start here
Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta
I love that this one tastes so decadent without having to go overboard with cream and butter.

For steak night
Steak Pasta
Butter-basted ribeye over penne in a creamy Parmesan sauce, all in 30 minutes.

If you love shrimp
Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Bright lemon and juicy shrimp. It looks fancy, but it's easy.

For a little heat
Cajun Chicken Pasta
Spicy and creamy, with tender chicken and penne.

Meatless
Spinach Mushroom Pasta
Earthy, with mushrooms that really taste like mushrooms.

A Technique Worth Knowing

I know I pester you about saving your pasta water to loosen the sauce, but here's another tip: save it for leftovers. You can either store it separately in the refrigerator or splash some in the bottom of the container where you're storing your leftovers. It's magic for reheating, and it works better than plain water because it won't dilute the flavor and will add body.

All my best,

Hey there, October's most-saved recipes show you were getting serious about Thanksgiving prep - that Lard Pie Crust, Turkey Gravy without Drippings, and Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes are going straight into your holiday game plan. But you also saved the soups and savory pies (Chicken Pot Pie and Tomato Bisque) that make weeknight dinners feel manageable when the temperature drops, and that Oven Roasted Crispy Pork Belly (#1 for the second month in a row) because it's always good to remember we...

Hey there, Halloween has been different in every neighborhood we've lived in. In our current house, we get a couple hundred trick-or-treaters, so we buy those giant bags of candy at Costco and still usually run out. It's expensive, but worth it for the big smiles and great costumes. Since we spend most of the night at the front door, dinner has to take care of itself. That's a great job for the slow cooker. My pick is Slow Cooker Chicken Enchiladas (video below). You layer the tortillas with...

Happy Sunday, Friends. Steak night at our house is the dinner we both grew up thinking was the classic steakhouse dinner. Bacon wrapped filet mignon, an overstuffed twice baked potato, a classic wedge salad and, of course, a glass of Oregon Pinot Noir, because it's our favorite. Every part of it is easy to make at home. The filet recipe makes two steaks, so it's just right for a dinner for two. The bacon goes into the oven for a few minutes before you wrap the steaks, so it gets crisp while...
